Let's be upfront. The use of animal products does not preclude a love of animals. Leather is only as cruel as the treatment the animal endured before their death. Feathers are only as bad as the conditions under which they were obtained. The qualiity of goods like leather and wooldepend on the health of the animal that produces it. Honey harvesting does not hurt intrinsically bees, neither does sheep shearing or gathering angora from rabbits.

There are those out there who don't care about the health of the naimal and do things that hurt them where it's not needed. Just because someone is doing it,d oens't mean everyone else is. If you are concerned about the origins of your animal products, try to source from ethical providers.
